Astrid Lindgren Prize

The Astrid Lindgren Prize is a Swedish literature prize, established in 1967 by the book publisher Rabén & Sjögren with the aim of rewarding Swedish authors in children's and young people's literature. The prize is awarded annually on Astrid Lindgren's birthday on 14 November and the prize money until 2016 was SEK 50,000. In 2017, in connection with the prize's 50th anniversary, the prize money was doubled to SEK 100,000 when Saltkråkan joined as a co-founder.
