Ardem Patapoutian (Armenian: Արտեմ Փաթափութեան, Roman: Ardem P'at'ap'ut'ean; Ardem Patapoutian, born 1967) is a molecular biologist and neuroscientist. Armenian Americans in Lebanon Recipient of the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine His major contribution is the identification of PIEZO1, PIEZO2 and TRPM8 receptors that detect pressure, menthol and temperature. Crips Research in California, in 2021 he won the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine. along with David Julius
