Hypertext, or formatted data on the web can be browsed with a program called web browser which reads information called web pages from a web server The information read will be displayed on the computer screen. so that users can read and view the web When the user wants to view another page Hyperlinks can be selected to link to other web pages, or they can also send data back to the web server for processing. Multiple web pages that handle similar information are called websites. Reading the web from page to page popularly known as "Web Surfing" or "Browsing the Web"

A Uniform Resource Locator (URL) is a standard system used to locate individual Web pages.
HyperText Transfer Protocol (HTTP) defines communication between web browsers. and server
HyperText Markup Language (HTML) defines how information is displayed on corporate Web pages. The World Wide Web Consortium develops and maintains the main standards and other standards used in the World Wide Web.
