Administrative center - a settlement in which are the relevant state authorities and management of a particular administrative-territorial unit: region, district, etc. In Ukraine, since 1932, a three-tier system of administrative-territorial organization was introduced: center - region - district. Usually the administrative center is the largest in terms of population, industrially and socially developed, it plays a key role in the economic and social life of the respective administrative-territorial unit.
