March 9 - An Italian offensive is unsuccessful against the Greeks on the Albanian front. March 12 - The war between the USSR and Finland ends. Karelia is part of the USSR. March 25 - Yugoslav Prince Paul signs an agreement on mutual assistance with Italy and Germany. March 27 - Yugoslav Prince Pavel is overthrown by an anti-fascist military coup. November 15 - German aircraft bomb the city of Coventry in the UK. The bombing lasted 10 hours and involved more than 500 aircraft.
