Gameplay

As in previous games in the series, Crusader Kings III proposes to rule a dynasty of medieval rulers to lead it to success. The dynasty must worry about the wealth expressed in gold, the prestige of the ruler, the piety that determines religious life, and the traits of the dynasty. In this game, the characters are depicted entirely in three-dimensional graphics and show their emotions or condition, depending on the situation. In each region a settlement can be established, in which several buildings are built. Some of them are universal, such as a castle or a temple. Others depend on natural conditions, for example, only in mountainous areas you can build quarries, and on the plains - fields. At the same time, the common set of buildings is the same for all dynasties. When a ruler dies, power passes to his descendant or another relative or regent. At birth, the heirs to the throne receive positive and negative traits - most are accidental, but some are inherited. Therefore, the dynasty must worry about favorable marriages, which also allows you to then spread the power of his dynasty in other regions without wars. The ruler chooses one of 5 lifestyles: diplomacy, war, government, intrigue or scholarship. Each style has three areas with a number of skills. The character can develop according to the chosen style, discovering new skills. The ruler is assisted by a council, the composition of which changes over time. With the help of advisers, you can get more resources or find information to blackmail opponents. The dominant culture in the country determines which technologies can be developed.
